UN SUONO IN ESTINZIONE

I am part of the Scientific Committee of Un Suono in Estinzione.
The project is an interdisciplinary research and artistic initiative that investigates the impact of climate change on fragile ecosystems—particularly alpine glaciers—through sound. It combines scientific research, field recordings, and artistic practices to translate environmental data into an immersive auditory and sensory experience.
The core of the project consists of recording sounds directly inside glacier environments and correlating them with environmental and climatic data, in order to better understand glacial melting processes and their evolution over time. These materials are then transformed into artistic and performative works that aim to communicate the urgency of climate change in an accessible and emotional way.
Through installations, performances, and public dissemination, the project creates a bridge between science and art, offering new ways of perceiving environmental transformation and raising awareness about the fragility of natural systems.
