SMC2021 | 18th Sound and Music Computing Conference

I participated in SMC2021 – the 18th Sound and Music Computing Conference, presenting a panel discussion on contemporary developments in sound, music, and computational creativity. The conference, a leading international forum for research at the intersection of music, technology, and human-computer interaction, brings together researchers, composers, sound designers, and technologists to explore new approaches to musical and sonic expression.
My panel focused on the integration of artistic practice with computational tools, addressing topics such as AI-driven music composition, interactive sound design, and experimental approaches to audio-visual media. The discussion highlighted both theoretical and practical perspectives, emphasizing the role of technology as a collaborator in creative processes rather than merely a tool.
This contribution allowed me to engage with an international community of researchers and practitioners, sharing insights from my own work in sound design, music composition, and interdisciplinary media projects. The session further explored how emerging technologies can expand the boundaries of musical expression and audience experience.
