Horto Blues x Orto Tintorio – NABA

Orto Tintorio is a multidisciplinary project developed at NABA that explores the relationship between nature, color, sound, and sensory perception. The initiative focuses on dye plants and natural pigments, combining botanical research with artistic and design practices to investigate sustainable processes and material cultures.
As part of this project, I contributed to the sonic dimension by designing an original soundscape conceived to accompany and enhance the experience of the Orto Tintorio. The soundscape translates the rhythms, atmospheres, and material qualities of the garden into an immersive auditory environment, expanding the project beyond the visual and tactile realms.
In addition, I curated a Spotify playlist connected to the project, extending the listening experience into a more open and accessible format. The playlist functions as a complementary layer, allowing the themes of the Orto Tintorio—time, natural processes, and sensory awareness—to resonate beyond the physical space and into everyday listening contexts.
Through sound design and music curation, this contribution emphasizes sound as a tool for interpretation, mediation, and storytelling within interdisciplinary and site-specific projects.
